This double page spread is based around the work of Richard Nott. Nott's work was very influential when creating my theme for the structure of flowers. I enjoyed working in the style of Nott as his work is very minimal but can convey a huge amount of detail. I also enjoyed the technique I was able to attempt in the style of Nott as he uses very dark tones when portraying shading within his work. My own interpretations allowed me to work with black ink and focus more purely on the delicate flowers he allowed to stand out within his work which then created a statement and made the flowers the subject matter.
