This double page spread in my sketchbook was also still continuing around the theme of the structure of flowers. Working with primary imagery allowed the work to become more enjoyable as I was able to choose exactly what I wanted to work with. For these two piece of work I created I decided to just use pencils to work with. I chose to just work with pencils as I wanted my work to develop over a long period of time so I was able to apply a large amount of detail and concentrate purely on each and every petal of the flowers. Deciding to draw the rose was much more enjoyable as I liked how much detail there was to apply and how much shading I was able to experiment with.
